The Bell Capital Cup

The Bell Capital Cup is held annually in Ottawa between Christmas and New Years and is the biggest hockey tournament in the world. This year there were 486 teams in total in the Atom and Peewee divisions. Our River Rat team competed in the Minor Atom Competitive A division. There were 22 teams in our division. The Rats battled hard all tournament and were one of the two teams to advance to the Championship game. We lost 4-0 in the final but were very proud of our team for making it to the final game.

As our team was getting ready for the final championship game we had a special visitor. Mike Fisher stopped in and wished the team good luck and encouraged them to play hard. I have never seen Paula smile this much with Lou!! Cathy has a pretty good smile in the background as well.
